CEMENT

Strengthening the foundation of tomorrow

Building the foundation of progress, the cement industry shapes skylines and strengthens infrastructure worldwide. From towering structures to everyday roads, the groundwork for a sustainable future lies in its commitment to a better tomorrow.

At Kirloskar Pneumatic, our compressed air solutions support cement manufacturing by efficiently transporting raw materials like limestone and clay, as well as finished cement powder, through pipelines. By minimising dust and reducing manual handling, we help enhance worker safety with efficient routing across production facilities.

To enable these operations, we offer a full spectrum of compressors—from oil-injected electric screw and diesel engine-driven portable screw compressors to centrifugal, PET, and multiple reciprocating models. These systems ensure the reliable performance of dust collectors, material conveyors, and other key pneumatic processes in cement plants.

Our transmission solutions further support the industry’s heavy-duty requirements, with robust helical and bevel gearboxes engineered for maximum torque, durability, and efficiency across crushing, grinding, and kiln applications. At Kirloskar Pneumatic, we power the cement industry with integrated technologies that deliver performance, ensure uptime, and help lay the path for stronger, smarter infrastructure.

Apron Feeders

Apron Feeders are used to transfer lumpy, abrasive, or heavy materials at a controlled rate. Helical and bevel gearboxes are employed to for the efficient and reliable transmission of power, primarily when working with heavy loads and challenging conditions.

Stacker Reclaimer

Stacker reclaimer is used for both stacking and reclaiming bulk materials like coal, ore, or cement. Helical gearboxes are used for parallel shaft power transmission. Bevel gearboxes are used for 90 degree power transmission.

Utility Air

Utility air provides general-purpose air for equipment maintenance and plant operations.

Pneumatic Conveying

Pneumatic conveying involves the transportation of cement powder, raw materials, and additives efficiently through pipelines.

Cleaning

Air is used to clean conveyors, crushers, and other machinery to prevent blockages and improve efficiency.

Process Air

Process air supplies air for combustion in kilns and blending of raw materials during cement production.

Instrument Air

Instrument air powers pneumatic control systems for the precise operation of instruments in cement plants.

Combustion air

Combustion air (kiln) is supplied at a constant flow to prevent the heat from drying out when heating up raw materials.

Silo fluidization

Class 0 oil-free air is blown into a silo to set it into a liquid-like state for loosening, mixing and discharging bulk material. This helps safeguard the quality of cement silo aeration.

Bulker and train unloading

A stationary blower unloads fly ash from bulker to silo and helps reduce the unloading time by 25% to increase effectivity of the cement blower for trucks.
